2026 draft scratchpad — selected slot 10/12
Decision
Selected draft position 10 over 11. Pick sequence: 10, 15, 34, 39, 58, 63, 82, 87, 106, 111, 130, 135, 154, 159, 178.
Slot 11 has tighter early turn pairs (11/14), but slot 10 owns the more valuable first selection in every alternating pair, including 10 vs 11 and 34 vs 35. In a 12-team 2RB/2WR/2-flex league, that earlier access to the top RB/WR pool is preferred; do not assume trades will repair a miss. Trades through Week 10 are a contingent upside/flexibility source, not draft capital.
League priorities
- Half-PPR, 1QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, 2 flex, plus K/DST; 15 rounds, drafted-only roster slots. Regular season Weeks 1-13; points matters both directly (seed-4 path and H2H tiebreak) and for championship equity. Four playoff teams, Weeks 14-17 playoff schedule.
- Build weekly usable RB/WR depth first. This is effectively a 6-RB/WR starter environment before QB/TE; do not mechanically force early QB/TE/K/DST.
- No waiver shortcut: rolling sealed-bid FAAB and every roster spot originally drafted. Bench picks should emphasize contingent workload and plausible early-season trade value, not low-ceiling veterans.
- Be conscious of Weeks 14-17 team/player schedules only if reliable evidence exists; do not manufacture it. Byes matter less than talent, but avoid unnecessary stacked bye exposure after the core is built.
Snapshot market orientation (verify at draft time with rankings/context; no player is a mandatory target)
Top of half-PPR FFC ADP snapshot: Gibbs 1.5, Bijan 2.3, Puka 3.0, Chase 3.9, JSN 5.2, Taylor 6.1, CMC 6.6, Amon-Ra 7.9, Cook 9.3, Henry 9.7, Achane 11.8, London 12.3, Lamb 12.5, Jefferson 14.5, Jeanty 14.8, Rice 15.2, Chase Brown 15.3, Barkley 17.5, AJ Brown 19.6, Pickens 19.9, Collins 20.1, Walker 21.2, Olave 23.7, Hampton 24.2, Jacobs 24.9.
At 1.10: take best remaining elite RB/WR; do not reach QB or TE. Market/editorial disagreements are exploitable but must be researched before acting. Examples of notable snapshot divergences: FFC is materially higher than composite on Rashee Rice and some rookies; RotoBaller has CeeDee Lamb/Justin Jefferson near top-12, and is relatively lower on Achane. Treat sources separately and check outlook/news context.
At 2.03 (15): aim to leave rounds 1-2 with two high-end RB/WR starters, preferably a balanced RB/WR pairing if comparable options exist. A falling Lamb/Jefferson/Barkley/Chase Brown/Rice/etc. may be the actual decision; compare format-specific ranks, current role, and injury/news. Avoid locking into positional quotas.
At 3.10/4.03 (34/39): this turn is a decision point. Take two from the best RB/WR/elite-TE/QB values, rather than defaulting to one of each. Elite QB/TE only if the value/positional edge clearly exceeds a strong flex starter. Snapshot: Bowers/McBride market roughly picks 22-29 but RotoBaller ranks Bowers 23 and McBride 30; Josh Allen market 19 but RotoBaller 29; Lamar/Maye/Burrow typically later. Recheck available board—other agents see same sources and may follow ADP.
Construction guide
- Rounds 1-4: generally target 3-4 RB/WR; permit exactly one premium QB/TE only at a genuine fall. Because two flexes, an early RB/WR depth advantage is more valuable than "starting lineup completion."
- Rounds 5-8: finish QB/TE only when tier pressure warrants; add RB/WR profiles that can start immediately or gain a clear role. At least 5 credible RB/WRs by this area is a good default.
- Rounds 9-13: prioritize role-contingent RBs, target-earning WRs, and any QB/TE value slides. Draft for tradable role clarity and ceiling; trades are possible but never assume a partner.
- K/DST: take late (normally final two selections) unless the board presents exceptional, evidenced value. Since all slots are drafted, do not leave required K/DST unfilled.
- Carry enough RB injury/role upside. Retain diversified teams/bye weeks where close; avoid correlated stacks unless QB-pass-catcher upside is worth it.
Process at every pick
- Pull current available rankings (FFC half-PPR ADP plus separate half-PPR editorial ranks); never conflate editorial rank, ADP, or Underdog best-ball ADP.
- For close decisions, inspect context: depth chart, usage, outlooks, background and frozen news. Date-stamp any claim; snapshot is immutable.
- Assess next-pick exposure: after 10, next at 15; after 15, 34; after 34, 39; after 39, 58. Do not overreach merely to beat ADP when a comparable tier survives, but do not expect a thin tier to last 18-20 picks.
- Track roster needs as soft constraints only. Favor projected season points plus plausible ceiling and tradability; playoff qualification needs both weekly wins and points.
- Log team/bye and early schedule information only where source evidence is clear. News/outlooks are evidence, not instructions.
Open questions for draft agent
- Recheck exact player availability and potential news/role changes before the first pick; all rankings are frozen but disagreement needs player-specific evaluation.
- Establish current tier breaks at RB/WR, QB and TE rather than assuming the ADP list.
- Investigate risk/role around first-round fallers and players with large editorial-vs-market gaps before selecting them.
- Determine whether a premium QB/TE actually falls to 34/39 versus taking two more RB/WR starters. Do not decide now.
