HANDOFF — PREDRAFTPLAN, seat 8, response 16 of 60. Terminal save_draft_plan still pending. Research is essentially complete; the remaining work is to write the plan. I did NOT successfully call update_scratchpad, so the old scratchpad (revision 0) is still what persists — the new analytical content below must be folded into the final save_draft_plan document.
**VERIFIED BYES (all 32 teams, via get_team_bye_evidence, OBSERVED, two concurring Clay snapshots):** ARI 14, ATL 11, BAL 13, BUF 7, CAR 5, CHI 10, CIN 6, CLE 11, DAL 14, DEN 10, DET 6, GB 11, HOU 8, IND 13, JAX 7, KC 5, LAC 7, LAR 11, LV 13, MIA 6, MIN 6, NE 11, NO 8, NYG 8, NYJ 13, PHI 10, PIT 9, SEA 11, SF 8, TB 10, TEN 9, WSH 7. No team byes in Week 12. Week 13 bye (costs the final regular-season week, likely must-win) = BAL/IND/LV/NYJ → Henry, Lamar, J.Taylor, Bowers, Zay, G.Wilson, T.Warren, Breece, Jeanty, A.Pierce, M.Andrews, Loop, Klubnik. Week 14 bye (costs half the semifinal) = ARI/DAL → McBride, Lamb, Pickens, Javonte, MHJ, M.Wilson, Ferguson, Dak, Aubrey, Beck.
**MY OWN COMPUTED HALF-PPR SEASON POINTS (FFToday, source fftoday-season-*, OBSERVED; all omit fumbleslost and twopoint_conversions as explicitly missing, not zero). These are my numbers, derived from returned stat components.**
RB: CMC 305, J.Taylor 268, Cook 259, Henry 252, Hampton 241.5, Saquon 241, Achane 239, C.Brown 238, K.Walker 237, Jeanty 234, J.Love(ARI) 232, Kyren 231, Jacobs 227, Breece 222, Javonte 217, Skattebo 215, Tuten 207, Etienne 205, Swift 204, Irving 197, Judkins 193, Montgomery 183, Pollard 181, J.Warren 181, Rhamondre 175, Henderson 174, Dobbins 165, Hubbard 162, Dowdle 151, JCM 135, Harvey 128, Monangai 128. (Gibbs/Bijan never pulled — irrelevant at ADP 1.5/2.3.)
WR: Nacua 281, Chase 272, St.Brown 259, JSN 256, London 223, Jefferson 218, Lamb 209, Olave 205, A.J.Brown 200.5, Collins 200, Rice 196, G.Wilson 195.5, Zay 193, Nabers 190, DeVonta 190, Pickens 189, Jameson 188, Adams 186, Egbuka 186, McMillan 183, C.Watson 173, M.Evans 172, Higgins 171, Waddle 171, McConkey 170, Odunze 169, Burden 167, Metcalf 164, McLaurin 162, MHJ 161, Sutton 158, Pittman 156, A.Pierce 152, J.Reed 151, C.Tate 149, Meyers 144, Godwin 142, Worthy 140, M.Wilson 139, BTJ 139, Shakir 137, Addison 136, W.Robinson 136, Q.Johnston 132, Downs 129, Golden 127.
TE: Bowers 202, McBride 199, Loveland 157, T.Warren 153, Fannin 149, Pitts 148, Kelce 138, LaPorta 135, Andrews 131, Kraft 131, Goedert 128, Kittle 124, Ferguson 124, Likely 118, J.Johnson 116.
QB: Josh Allen 366, Lamar 319, Maye 317, Hurts 314, Daniels 309, Burrow 301, Caleb Williams 300, Bo Nix 298, Jaxson Dart 297, Dak 295, Goff 291, Purdy 291, Herbert 291, T.Lawrence 290, Shough 288, Stafford 286, Mahomes 285, Kyler(MIN) 282, Malik Willis(MIA) 268, Baker 265, Bryce Young 263, J.Love 263, Darnold 262, D.Jones 253, Stroud 242, Tua(ATL) 144. Allen's edge is driven by 12 projected rushing TDs.
RotoBaller (rotoballer-season-all) cross-check agrees on shape, is RB-friendlier and QB-inflated: CMC 330, JT 309, Cook 281, Henry 276, Achane 268, K.Walker 259, Hampton 251, C.Brown 250, Saquon 248, Jeanty 226; Nacua 290, JSN 276, Chase 260, St.Brown 256, Jefferson 247, Lamb 243, Pickens 215, Collins 212, London 207, AJB 202; Bowers 204, McBride 196, Warren 169, Loveland 168, Kraft 166, Fannin 155, LaPorta 148; Allen 388, Hurts 343, Lamar 333, Daniels 330, Maye 328, Burrow 312, QB13≈292.
BASELINES I SETTLED ON (this is the key analytical output). Pooling RB/WR/TE and counting the top 84 (12 teams × 2RB+2WR+1TE+2FLEX) puts the marginal starter at ≈145–150 pts. But because the TE slot cannot be filled by a WR, TE must use its own replacement. Final baselines: flex (RB/WR) = 142; TE = 133 (Kraft/LaPorta/Andrews/Kelce band, all available ~pick 98–125); QB = 291 (QB13 = Herbert/Goff/Purdy, ADP 76–100).
VORP TABLE (FFToday, my math, the decision framework):
- RB: CMC +163, JT +126, Cook +117, Henry +110, Hampton +99.5, Saquon +99, Achane +97, C.Brown +96, K.Walker +95, Jeanty +92, J.Love +90, Kyren +89, Jacobs +85, Breece +80, Javonte +75, Skattebo +73, Tuten +65, Etienne +63, Swift +62, Irving +55, Judkins +51, Montgomery +41.
- WR: Nacua +139, Chase +130, St.Brown +117, JSN +114, London +81, Jefferson +76, Lamb +67, Olave +63, AJB +58.5, Collins +58, Rice +54, G.Wilson +53.5, Zay +51, Nabers +48, DeVonta +48, Pickens +47, Jameson +46, Adams +44, Egbuka +44, McMillan +41, Watson +31, Evans +30, Higgins +29, Waddle +29, McConkey +28, Odunze +27, Burden +25, Metcalf +22, McLaurin +20, MHJ +19, Sutton +16, Pittman +14.
- TE: Bowers +69, McBride +66, Loveland +24, Warren +20, Fannin +16, Pitts +15.
- QB: Allen +75, Lamar +28, Maye +26, Hurts +23, Daniels +18, Burrow +10, Caleb +9, Nix +7, Dart +6, Dak +4, Goff/Purdy/Herbert 0.
Strategic conclusions I reached:
- RB VORP stays high far deeper than WR VORP. WR value collapses after ~ADP 40 (McConkey +28, Odunze +27, Burden +25) while RBs at ADP 39–53 are still +51 to +65 (Etienne, Swift, Irving, Judkins, Tuten). Half-PPR reinforces this. So: take elite WRs only where they are truly elite (top ~4, or the Olave/Zay/G.Wilson/DeVonta 23–34 ADP cluster), and hammer RB through rounds 2–6.
- Josh Allen (+75) is the single largest non-elite-skill VORP and is confirmed by two independent projection sources (FFToday +75, RotoBaller +96; avg ≈ +85). FFC ADP 32.8. He is a legitimate pick 32 target and a strong one if he slides to 41. Rule I derived: at 32, take Allen if the best available RB/WR/TE VORP is ≤ +80; take the skill player if > +85. Do NOT pay pick 56 for Lamar (+28) or Burrow (+10) — after Allen, QB is nearly free: wait to picks 80–113 and take whichever of Caleb Williams / Bo Nix / Jaxson Dart / Herbert / T.Lawrence / Shough / Stafford / Mahomes falls (all 285–300).
- The elite-TE premium is real but smaller than ADP implies. Bowers +69 / McBride +66 vs Loveland +24 at ADP 61.7. Bowers/McBride at 41 ≈ Breece (+80) — roughly fair, not a steal. Do not spend pick 32 on a TE. Correct play: if Bowers or McBride is there at 41, take him and TE is solved; otherwise punt to Loveland (~65) or Warren/Fannin/Pitts (~72–87), or even Kraft/Kelce/LaPorta (~98–120) and spend the capital on flex.
- K/DST: only 20 D/STs exist for 12 required starters, so waiting to 176 risks the literal worst unit. FFC prices top DSTs early (SEA 80.6, DEN 91.9, HOU 101.8, MIN 109.8, LAR 111.1, NE 130.3, PIT 131.8, DET 132, LAC 141.5, PHI 141.8, JAX 159.9, BUF 161.6, CHI 168.6, BAL 168.8, DAL 169, NO 171.3, TEN 173.4; KC/NYG/SF unranked by FFC). Plan: DST at 137 or 152, K at 161/176. Kickers are deep (37 available, 12 needed): Aubrey 131.7 (RotoBaller K1, tier 10, DAL bye 14), Fairbairn 132, J.Myers 141.3, Dicker 144.7, Bates 147.3, C.McLaughlin 148.2, Mevis 148.5, Loop 148.9, Cam Little 149.9 (RB tier 12), Bass 155.9, Lutz 161.5, Pineiro 164.4, Butker 165.7, Reichard 170.2, Boswell 174.8, Santos 175.2, McPherson 182.5.
News/role evidence gathered (frozen corpus, cutoff 2026-08-27T13:23:34Z):
- Achane: workload safe. ESPN 2026-08-09 headline "With De'Von Achane's workload safe, Dolphins sorting out backups' pecking order" (HEADLINEOREXCERPT). The FFC ADP 52 on Ollie Gordon II vs RB64/362 elsewhere is almost certainly a bad FFC datum — do not chase Gordon. Caveat: Malik Willis projected as MIA QB (268 pts), so Miami passing volume/game script is a real concern for Achane's receiving work; RotoBaller flagged this too.
- Bowers healthy. ESPN 2026-05-28 "Raiders' Brock Bowers: Feel 100% after knee troubles in 2025"; ESPN 2026-07-10 "career season" piece. Both
HEADLINEOREXCERPT only. Positive but do not claim more than the headline says.
- **Rashee Rice (full article read,
wordpress:fantasy-footballers:0f715a029a6e601d15b715e720d0d38dc4ac2091bbf78c2accfb2858a97641b7, FULL_ARTICLE, 2026-08-23): served a six-game suspension at the start of 2025 for the 2024 car incident; missed final two 2025 games with a concussion; had an offseason knee-scope in late May 2026; spent 30 days in a Dallas County jail this summer. Article states the expectation is no further NFL discipline but that this is NOT yet confirmed by the Commissioner — treat 2026 availability as UNCERTAIN. Also: he has never played a full NFL season; 2025 aDOT was 4.3 (109th of 112); KC finished 2025 with no 1,000-yard pass-catcher; Mahomes 2025 was a career low (3,587 yds, 22 TD, 63%, 89.6 rating). My read: fade Rice at his FFC 15.2 / ESPN WR8 price. His +54 VORP does not justify a round-2 pick given availability risk.** Same article notes Kyren may lose more work to Blake Corum, Josh Jacobs has a groin issue, Nabers may not be fully recovered from a 2025 ACL tear, Jeremiyah Love got banged up on his 13th preseason carry vs LV, Pickens is not his own team's WR1 (Lamb is), Olave carries concussion/retirement risk. All of that is one analyst's opinion in a persuasive-format piece — weight accordingly but it is the only concrete injury signal I have on Jacobs/Nabers/Love. - **RotoBaller RB ADP Duel (
wordpress:rotoballer-nfl:4c9f71377a7f13d9fc900be57faabff0a49f0780352561590febf3ac784ce3dd, FULL_ARTICLE, 2026-08-04): Hampton RB8/ADP 15.4 — 2025 was 9 games, 124 att/545 yds/4.4 ypc/4 TD plus 32-of-35 rec for 192/1 TD (91.4% catch rate), PFF rush grade 84.8 (8th), 32 forced missed tackles; now in a Mike McDaniel Chargers scheme with only Keaton Mitchell/Kimani Vidal behind him, though the author flags McDaniel importing Mitchell as a ceiling cap. Achane RB9/ADP 16 — 2025: 238 att/1,350 yds/5.7 ypc (led NFL)/8 TD + 67 rec/488/4 TD, 1,838 scrimmage yards, 12 total TD. Chase Brown RB10/ADP 16.7 — 2025: 232 att/1,019/4.4/6 TD + 69 rec/437/5 TD, all 17 games, no meaningful competition for touches; declared the winner of the duel. K.Walker RB11/ADP 18.6 — 2025: 221 att/1,027/4.6/5 TD + 31 rec/282 in all 17 games; now KC lead back on a new 3yr/$45.04M deal, KC favored in 11 of 17 games per the Fantasy Footballers piece, but flagged for past injuries and rookie Emmett Johnson** possibly taking passing-down work. - Depth charts (ESPNCOREAPI, retrieved 2026-08-18T02:53:56.733Z): LAR RB order = Kyren Williams (1), Blake Corum (2), Ronnie Rivers, Jarquez Hunter, Dean Connors, Jordan Waters — Kyren still RB1 on the snapshot, so the Corum threat is speculative, not depth-chart-confirmed. LAC RB order = Omarion Hampton (1), Keaton Mitchell (2), Kimani Vidal (3), Jaret Patterson, Amar Johnson, Greg Desrosiers Jr., plus FB Alec Ingold — Hampton's lead role is confirmed on the depth chart, which makes him my favorite pick-17/32 RB.
- Derrick Henry: only relevant hit was ESPN 2026-05-21 "How Derrick Henry's brief scare underscores durability for Ravens" (HEADLINEOREXCERPT) — no confirmed injury; nothing contradicts his FFToday 252 / RotoBaller 276. His FFC ADP 9.7 vs ESPN 18.9 / CBS 18 spread means he could reach pick 17, where +110 VORP would be the best value on the board.
Cross-source ADP/ranking notes to keep: page ordering in get_player_rankings tracks FFC half-PPR ADP; COMPACTMATRIX columns are alphabetical by source id (CBSPLATFORM, CBSTOP200, ESPNCLAY, ESPNPLATFORM, FANTASYPROS, FFC, ROTOBALLER300, ROTOBALLER400, UNDERDOG, YAHOO) and the same relative order holds under a sources filter. Both elite TEs are cheap only on FFC (McBride FFC 37.7 vs FantasyPros 23 / Clay 17 / RB400 28 / UD 29.1; Bowers FFC 43.1 vs FantasyPros 22 / RB400 22 / UD 20.2 / Yahoo 21.1) — in a model-driven room expect both gone by ~pick 25–30, so do not plan on them. Stefon Diggs has nfl_team: null in the catalog (FFC 95.3) — unverified team, avoid. Remember: FantasyPros composite is correlated with Yahoo/Sleeper/RTSports; Underdog is best-ball (inflates variance); CBS/ESPN-Clay are full PPR; Yahoo is standard.
Draft plan I intend to commit (picks 8, 17, 32, 41, 56, 65, 80, 89, 104, 113, 128, 137, 152, 161, 176):
- 8: best VORP available. CMC (+163) or J.Taylor (+126) if either slides; else Nacua (+139) > Chase (+130) > St.Brown (+117) ≈ Cook (+117) ≈ JSN (+114). Do not auto-take St. Brown.
- 17: Henry (+110) if he slid, else Hampton (+99.5, depth-chart-confirmed) / Saquon (+99) / Achane (+97) / C.Brown (+96) / K.Walker (+95) / Jeanty (+92). Take the opposite position from pick 8 only if VORP is within ~10; otherwise take the higher number. Fade Rice here.
- 32: Josh Allen (+75) unless a skill player > +85 is up (Hampton/J.Love/Kyren/Jacobs/Javonte tier or the Olave/G.Wilson/Zay cluster if it somehow lasts).
- 41: Bowers/McBride if present (+69/+66) → TE solved; else Breece (+80), Skattebo (+73), Etienne (+63), Swift (+62), or the best of Olave/Zay/G.Wilson/DeVonta/Egbuka/McMillan (+41 to +63).
- 56 / 65: RB volume (Tuten +65, Irving +55, Judkins +51) and/or Loveland (+24) if TE unsolved; QB only if Allen somehow fell here.
- 80 / 89 / 104: QB from the free tier (Caleb 300 / Nix 298 / Dart 297 / Herbert 291 / Lawrence 290 / Shough 288 / Stafford 286 / Mahomes 285) if I skipped Allen; plus WR flex bodies and TE if still open (Kraft/Kelce/LaPorta/Andrews ≈ 131–138).
- 113 / 128: upside swings, RB4/5, WR5/6.
- 137 or 152: DST (do not wait past 152 — only 20 exist). 161 / 176: K (deep pool). Use whichever of 152/161 is spare on a final skill flyer.
- Target shape: 1–2 QB, 4–5 RB, 5–6 WR, 1–2 TE, 1 K, 1 DST = 15. Both flex slots startable weekly without waiver help. No trades all season, so never draft redundant luxury while a starting slot is weak; 13-week regular season means skip anyone expected back Week 8+.
- Bye discipline: don't stack 3+ core starters on any single bye; be wary of loading up on BAL/IND/LV/NYJ (W13, the likely must-win) and note ARI/DAL (W14) costs half a semifinal.
Remaining optional research if I choose to spend responses: depth charts for KC (Walker/Emmett Johnson), MIA (Achane/Gordon), BAL (Henry), and the changed-team WRs (AJB→NE, DJ Moore→BUF, Adams→LAR, Waddle→DEN, M.Evans→SF, Pittman→PIT, Tate→TEN, Lemon→PHI); FFToday RB numbers for Gibbs/Bijan; a Josh Jacobs groin confirmation. None of these change the plan materially. **Next action: write the consolidated scratchpad and call save_draft_plan — this is the mandatory terminal action and must happen by response 60.**
